Who We Are ::
Anthem at Living Water is a leadership development program designed to empower and
instruct young adults who are passionate about following Jesus and pursuing lives of
meaning and ministry. Anthem is a full-time, immersion discipleship program where
students are plunged into three pools of learning: hands-on training, curricular studies
and personal discipleship.

Our Mission ::
Our mission is to produce generations of ministry leaders who will be successful in the
contexts of their personal lives, the church, and the world.

What Our Program Looks Like ::
Anthem offers a unique two-year program. The first year, described more fully below, is all about discipleship and service—becoming the person that God created you to be. During this first year you’ll have the opportunity to apply for a second-year internship. This internship is a more intense, leadership-focused year of schooling. Instead of participating in the same things as first-year students, interns are included as part of the leadership team of Living Water, and serve full time in one of the ministry departments. The following description is an overview of both years.

Anthem Year One: Discipleship and Service ::
Each first-year Anthem student will…
•Develop a solid devotional life
•Deepen one’s understanding of the Word of God
•Memorize key passages of Scripture related to the life of a growing believer
•Address personal life-issues that could inhibit his or her life or ministry
•Develop disciplines in both personal and public arenas of life
•Develop a passion for excellence in all areas of life and ministry
•Participate in a Ministry Track, focused on hands-on ministry in the local church
•Participate in hands-on ministry in the community
•Participate in a missions/ministry experience outside of Olympia
•Grow in one’s understanding of sacrificial leadership
•Demonstrate a growing ability to discern the leading of the Holy Spirit
•Gain confidence in God’s unique call on one’s life

Buckle up and get ready to have Pastor Kelly Schmidt dazzle you with her brilliant insights! Your perception of Jesus' life on earth will be forever changed by these powerful lessons!

OT/NT::
Teacher:: PastorRod
OT/NT is like a Bible survey, but different students explore the relevant issues for today in the entire Old Testament, along with the essential background and key messages of the New Testament. OT/NT intentionally moves very quickly to provide students with a "big picture" perspective on the Bible and God's agenda for his people. Many christians have pieces of biblical and theological knowledge without necessarily having an overall philosophical and theological framework within which to fit those portions of truth. OT/NT is designed to help build the missing framework. Our goal is to help students begin to "connect their christian dots," i.e., to begin forming cognitive connections between the pieces of biblical and theological knowledge they already have, and to thereby deepen their knowledge of the living God.

Anthem Year Two: Ministry Internship ::

Each second-year Anthem intern will…
•Concentrate in a single area of local church ministry
•Develop and grow in leadership skills and qualities
•Demonstrate an increased ability to handle personal and ministry responsibility
•Prepare for ministerial licensing (though every student may not complete this process while in Anthem)

Anthem at Living Water is Unique ::
Anthem at Living Water is only one of many strong discipleship programs
around the world. Each program is somewhat different, reflecting the
passion of its leaders and the ministry focus of its host church or organization.
One things that sets this program apart from others its focus on the local church.
We have been called to develop ministry leaders who will be able to serve the
Lord faithfully and fruitfully in local church settings around the country and
around the world. Some of our graduates will go on to university or Bible
college; others will go directly into church planting or various ministry positions;
still others may enter the business world or start a family. No matter where our
graduates go, however, the local church will be there, impacting the community
around it with the power of the Gospel. We believe that our focus on the local
church will prepare students to be effective, life-long ministers wherever God
may call them.

Statement of Nondiscrimination ::
In compliance with federal and state regulations, Anthem at Living Water admits
students of any race, gender, color national and ethnic origin, disability, status as
a veteran or any other characteristic protected by law to all rights, privileges,
programs and activities to students at Anthem.
